ABB SD822 is a compact Operator Display Unit in the ABB System 800xA process control system, specifically designed for field-level human-machine interaction (HMI). It can be directly installed on the control cabinet door or operation console to achieve real-time monitoring and operation of process variables, alarm information and trend data.

Installation and Usage instructions
Mechanical installation
Make holes in the control cabinet door (according to the dimensions on the drawing);
Insert SD822 from the front and fix it with clamping bolts at the rear.
Install the sealing gasket to ensure IP65 protection.
Electrical connection
Connect to a 24V DC power supply (overcurrent protection is recommended);
Connect the dual network cables to the System 800xA control network;
Optional serial port devices (such as printers and instruments) can be connected.
System configuration
Add "Operator Workplace" in the System 800xA project;
Allocate operation permissions, screen groups, and alarm filtering rules;
Support remote deployment and software updates.
Daily maintenance
For screen cleaning, use a lint-free soft cloth and neutral detergent.
Regularly check the heat dissipation and ventilation (even though it is fanless, it is still necessary to avoid a closed high-temperature environment).
